haha as the title reads.. it's for something!!! as to what? im not very sure yet :D what would you like me to contribute on the most? lol

im no dev but i have enough knowledge and skills to put something usefull in here for all you guys as long as it/I am welcome :D

so please give feedback and tell me what i can do to help!!!

i mainly do theming/modding of roms, performance tweaking if needed and im slowly getting into the 'kernel/linux' side of it all :D

i have some knowledge on compiling roms from source but since most of my work is on lg and they suck.. i've yet to have a successful compilation in the past year or so lol, but i did successfully compile aosp 2.2.1 for the htc G1 wayy back in the day ;) lol

few guys here from the lg-esteem (ms910) forums know me ;)

Yes of course you are welcome.
I would like to see a stock/mod something like the LD-LG clean and lean, and not themed. keeping the fancy stuff that S3 has like the auto call when in MMS/Contacts and SBeam/NFC. The performance and battery are OK, if both could be tweaked that would be nice too.

Big l whattt uppp brother boy what a surprise glad to have you here please tell me you got the s3 :D well as of right now chiwen and shabby have been guiding us and bringing your knowledge to the table things are only getting better :D
 
idriift welcome bud long time no see. im not sure about themes since the gs3 is pretty open for themeing without the need of modifying the framework and systemui and whatnot but several users are wanting a stock jelly bean rom dexoed. and perhaps s-beam be modified for aosp roms. but yea stuff like that would be cool. :D
 
It would be great if you could theme the stock touchwiz to look like jelly bomb rom. Here's a video of the of it

hey bro welcome to the s3 forums and hey u think u can do a stock mod like u did with esteem but this time with s3

Lol. That's why I started the whole "L" thing that I see has caught on. I figured by doing that, then everyone will know the name. Even if it's just one letter lol.
 
Sweet I enjoy you're work on the Esteem ldrifta hope to countinue enjoyng work on on the S3 i'd like to see #2 on S3..Still waiting on my phone from wirefly they were out of stock i was told it should ship by this Friday it better lol

I think I'm going to enjoy stock for a while before even rooting just to get use to it then when you're ready I'll be ready ;)
 
Just got an email it's shipped thank God should have it by Monday :D $379 missed the $299 thanks to my GF..but she is making it up to me by giving me half the money :P

I did the same thing. Used stock no root, just to get used to it. Took 2 days to figure 75% of the apps I would probably never use. The speed was awesome. Think 10 times that of a #2 ROM esteem. Rooted this bad boy after a week with baked beans rom. Freaking unbelievable
 
Welcome aboard ldrifta, drop me a note and i have a fully stock pull rom rooted and un rooted that you can play with. :D

L I agree with the other folks that a tweaked stock rom would be cool, I don't have this phone though but you never know :p
