Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [Req] Mobile Odin dump

true nutmeg but i think he was meaning mobile odin but dunno the dev of the app chainfire must be blind cuz ive personally have seen shabby go into a irc channel while chainfire is chatting with some one and the dude hus flatout ignored shabby like shabby wasn't even there. so i clicked the link just now and wanted to ask chainfire why has he been ignoring our efforts to have him support our device..... and got this.... so epic now you guys know why i love androidforums.com

Working with all parties involved to get that resolved. Stoking a fire really isn't the best way in this case. (And that is an XDA rule you hit, not specific to CF.)

And while Shabby did modify it to work it's not official. This dump will resolve it once and for all. FWIW I suggested that he separate the device requests from the thread... easy to miss them in there.

And TA should officially support you as of 2.70.
 
Im not so naive i realize thats a xda protocol hint why i said " thats why i love androidforums.com.... and im sorry to say shabby's attempt to reach chainfire was more than enough to make a normal person think they have a stalker. I understand sometimes people can be busy with their normal lives and what not but when one goes out of their way and goes to his twitter,irc,xda private messaging, his google plus and still dosn't even get a hint of a single acknowledgement then thats where we leave it at that. i've too have sent him private messages even went the irc channel and what not. lets put it like this if more than dozen members on here have went out of their way some way or another and never even got a single response then its obvious hes not inetrested. i respect your opinion and i admire your ambition but there has been a huge effort from more than 12 members that i know of that have tried their best and none have succeeded. I don't know you perhaps you work closely with him or perhaps your a hopeful individual that still has hope that you might be able to get our device noticed? and thats great ill never shut the door on such hopes. I wish you luck and i really do hope you manage to get to him. Oh i just sent him a personal invitation to our subforum whether he accepts or not is up to him. other than that that have a great day ;)

Well said buddy! But its all good anyways like I said above we won't shut the door on anyone if comes to us and happens then good will be a huge benefit both ways for our community and cf.

Yup. Counter reset is all I need.

Can someone tell me what's the point of mobile odin? I mean, isn't that what recoveries are for? The only time I use odin is when for whatever reason I cannot get into recovery. No?

you can use it to flash tars to revert back to stock, heck you can use it with my tar and have it keep root/recovery get the ota update for jellybean and use teh ota zip option and have mobile odin patch it so it doesnt check for certain things and get the update even though you are rooted (plus it will let you keep root when you update :)

I'd like some instructions for the ota update feature...never used mobile Odin always have had some other phone like HTC or Motorola so I'm kind of a job with Odin :p

all depends, if you get mobile odin free or mobile odin pro on what you have to do next
