So in the consensus that this is not compatible with this carrier ??

whoa, yea there isnt a fanco kernel compatible with the phone, flashing another kernel from another phone will cause reboots at the easiest, flashing international kernels will result in bricks like the guy in black bean thread has

But there is a lean kernel right for this version? I know of several people running this app with the metro s3 and love it. There is more functions than just the Franco kernel. Which is why I shared it.

I'll just remove it to not cause confusion.

uhh afaik there werent any custom kernels. i know you can use teh app with the cm kernel and adjust some things. if someoen flashes a us variant kernel no big deal they can recover, but the international one is what causes issues :(

What kernel is being used in AOKP?

stock i believe for now no custom kernel exist for metro's gs3 but wont stay like that for long we got shabz on his way with his own metro gs3 wooooot!!!

Interesting. I know of 2 people at least that are running Lean. Being that Lean is usually the main kernel for AOKP, sometimes Milestone or Faux, I assumed it was in the Metro AOKP Rom. Well, I guess I'll have to get some more info on where they got their AOKP roms from cause there is def a custom kernel for the Metro S3. I knew there wasn't a Franco but assuming there was already a Lean is why I posted the APP.

I'll see what I can find out about what they are running. They both hang out and build together but they don't participate in "forums" per say. I'll get some info and post it up for y'all to look at.

i imagine teh settings in teh franco app are perfectly safe if there is lean kernel, my main concern was teh flashing part of the app (i have his gnexus app). some people might click download and flash on kernels that shouldnt work for them because they wanted to test it

No you are correct.

Man why don't such people ever share such discoveries with the rest of the community??? im always sharing new stuff. I dunno some come and take and never share and some learn take and share. anyways if u can find out what kernel and from where they got it ill be the guinea pig and try it out. and quickly post back results.

considering the fact that multiple people have flashed the wrong roms after reading the ROM threads, someone would definitely just try flashing everything they could within that app.

OK, looks like problem resolved, I am sure it if is compatible SB and N4tzy will let you know, Looks like you guys have this figured out, if you still need me let me know.

One of them is on XDA and the other just tests. I met them recently at a Best Buy lol. Anyways, I texted him and asked him what, where, when, how etc.....

And I quote "Built it off Verizon AOKP and Lean minimal" Me: Can I get the images or a backup to try out? "When it's finished. Gotta get back to work".

That's all I got. Not very friendly huh?

Well being that now I know y'all dont have a kernel, Ill try and at least get some images or even better a backup so y'alls people can check it out. I thought y'all were already running Lean with AOKP. Durr

Before you go. Delete or lock this thread? Kind of pointless now. Everything else can be continued through PM's if needed. Thanks

Well it could of been turned around to research where to get that kernel and try it out and if it worked would of been a nice asset to have in this community

Soon as I get, if I get any info Ill be sure to send the images to someone instead of posting about it. Someone else can handle the posting if confirmed working :D

Done ;) No harm done, he was simply trying to help, thread closed. Just let me know and I will re open the thread if N4tzy confirms
