Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] ROM for SG3

I'm using the bakedbeans with the Linaro kernel. My baby kicks some serious ass. But not all phones are the same. You will see that all over the place. What works on mine may not work on yours.
I like bakedbeans cause I can pretty much customize the look of everything.

I click the 3 little dots and click installopenrecovery script .. and it takes me to the download .. and nothing happens after

This is a known issue with downloading from goomanager on 4g. You will have to switch to wifi or jist keep trying with 4g it works sometimes.

Or you can download twrp tar file and flash it via odin.

Or just use rom manager and flash cwm. It works just as well.

Ok. Mine doesn't have the 3 lil dots. try opening goomanager then the menu button & install the script that way.

Ok I finally got CWM to work and I installed a ROM aokp/4.1.2 and its just stuck at loading screen says " Initiating Swagger"

lol that's ok. I freaked out the first time I rooted my esteem. there is some great help on here. go through some of the threads like I did & read up on what some of the issues people were having & how they were solved.
good luck & have fun.

If your phone is still stuck on loading screen take out the battery. Put back in and try turning on. If still stuck after that then do same thing but hold down home button, volume up key and power button to boot back into recovery. Reflash the rom making sure to wipe, factory, cache, dalvik and system this time.

When i do that it just turns the phone off and back on and back to the loading screen :(

You gotta time it just right. Let the buttons go when you see the boot screen and press all three again just for good measure. It usually takes me a few tries too.
