This was before the update you speak of, the two phones are very similar. Shit they are almost identical twins so to speak. If the look it up in the Verizon section I am sure it will work, or just Google it. I got rid of my GS3
and moved on to the Nexus 5. I followed the method and gave my phone to my sister in-law to use. She is in HONDURAS. She calls my wife 3 times a week from that phone. So believe what you want, can you use it with a gsm apn yes, is it really unlocked and fully functional with 4g LTE???? NO...

Ahah! So now they HAVE to unlock the damn thing!
If anyone still has this phone I'd recommend calling up Metro to see what's possible.
Best of luck everyone, and it doesn't hurt to try. They're required to give you the code now so there shouldn't be any problems anymore. Let us all know how it goes if anyone tried it, I could definitely use a spare unlocked backup phone in case my S5 has any problems. I'm feeling optimistic about this one.
