param2_sdcard=MTD
sys_mnt=\/dev\/block\/platform\/msm_sdcc.1\/by-name\/system

sdcard_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p1
boot_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p7

Also can someone give me gracious permission to use your working updater-script?

Appreicated! Thanks!

you can use mine

but mine are not for the stock JB rom, they are for KK roms I either made from source or ported from another device

I know this is a bit late, but should help you in the future. When working on an LG phone you can always reference the following post made nearly a couple years ago in the motion forums by Scrubtasticx. It's in the All Things Root Guide.

His post provides a woking updater script. The script will work on any LG phone with some adjustments. The script gives you the basic idea of where to track all the symlinks which are then easy to create yourself. Oh and you don't need to add kitchen support, that's a waste of time lol.

Pro Tip:
You only need to add "firmware" symlinks in your updater script if the phone's kdz is encryted like MS500. On non encrypted phones like the LG Spirit, D505, and many others you don't need firmware symlinks in your updater. If the kdz is extractable then it's not encrypted. That's how I make roms for phones I don't have by extracting partitions from kdz.

Oh and you don't need to ask for permission to use an updater script lol. It's just an updater, as long as you don't mess with someone's rom/work it's all good.

;)
