Root [MetroPCS] Future roms?

Hello. :3

I've seen some benefits for rooting the f6, like over clocking the speed of the phone, and other benefits. But the one reason that I stop myself from rooting my phone is because there is no way to add custom roms to it, or use cyan mod.

Also, while looking through the forums I've seen it mentioned that it's a lot harder to get the f6 to run roms. But I was just wondering, are we going to see any custom roms pop up for the f6, or is just not going to happen?
 
We have Loki, so custom kernels and custom recovery are around. I'm trying to break into it with deodexing the stock rom. Then we can start. Plus there are rumors of cyanogen mod going around. Give it just a bit more.

That sounds wonderful!!! Quick question, what do custom kernels do exactly?
 
No ones going to waste time doing a full Cyanogenmod with this rumored update coming.. It wouldn't be worth doing it for it to just get replaced with a KitKat upate.

ive been working on cm since i got this device. its a lot of kernel work though
 
Xperion ROM

Well after like 2 months of working on this rom on and off I can officially say it's finished lol. I should have it up on a new thread in the next couple days.

Here's a video I shot of it which came out a bit blurred and doesn't do the rom justice, but I assure you that it looks pretty amazing lol. ;)

Xperion - Android Creations

It ain't CM, but still a nice rom in my opinion.

is this for 10i or 12b
What if you have sd card hack on the phone will you still be able to use your rom. The rom looks nice

You will have to be on 12b firmware to flash this rom. I don't use the sd hack so I did not test for it nor will I be doing so. You might have to remove the sd hack by flashing another kernel and recovery.

Thnx for ur help... but getting root is not the issues. Is gettin the actual 12b firmware up. Im still on 10i even though i updated twice n went back twice testing both processes n now idont kmw why i cant get back up... installs never goes through. .... funny thats happening to me w/@ll my experiences with this.:rolleyes:
 
N i found out the 12b has radios updates... but cant get to break update zip so i can just flash radio. :/

Oh do you know how to get it working I tried 3rd party ones and tried flashing the stock android one but it hasn't worked. So I eventually gave up thinking we don't have an antenna built in. If you got it working can you tell me how, thanks.

To be honest. .. i just don't like wrking with it.. cus u would hav to wrk with a kernel dev. For it to function... most of the time it has to be built within the rom it self.
 
I would like a rom compatible with "SdCard Memory Hack"... even better one including it, do not care if would be "10i" or "12b" based, because I'm thinking this is the most important mod for our F6 phones right now.
