Root [MetroPCS] Just rooted what should I do next?

Hi i just rooted using the root.zip method posted by Trevor. I confirmed using root checker. Before I get started messing around with things, whats the first thing I should do? How do I back up in case i do anything stupid?

The first thing you should have done was install CWM or TWRP and made a nandroid backup. You can do that now.

What do you do next? That depends on WHY you rooted the phone. Just to play around in the operating system? Download Ubuntu and run it on your computer. That way if you mess things up you can just reinstall it. Rooting is done to accomplish a purpose. If you root just to fool around, you're probably going to be back here asking how to unbrick your phone.

I rooted to tether. I was confused whether to install cwm because it's not clear from the posts if it works.

I'm confused what is the difference between Loki and cam recoveries?

So should i do cwm or twrp recovery or the lte2 recorvery or the locki recovery? I cant tell the difference... can anyone help? I also want to see about fixing the internal hard drive to sd card

Mega, I successfully installed Loki Recovery courtesy of Pressy. Follow the instructions for the F6 Utilities/CWM 6046 installation, you'll have no problems.

what exactly is loki? I actually successfully installed the lte recovery. Now that I have recovery do i need this loki thing, what ever it is? Thanks for the reply i was feeling lonely and helpless there for a while

I don't know the difference between the Loki and LTE recovery. But if you've installed the LTE and made a successful backup, you're good.

Ok, I just took a look at the post for the LTE recovery. It appears that was made for the F3, and works for the F6 as well. If you're happy with it, don't sweat it.

All that remains is for the F6 bootloader to be unlocked, then the real fun begins! Kick back and relax...

Yup, i tied to do sd card fuse but it doesn't work. If i can get that to work I've solved all my problems.
