Root [MetroPCS] No Data Connection Over USB "Device Descriptor Request Failed"

Well, I tried Super OS, its not going to work. Wine will run the updater but when trying to browse to the proper directory to get the firmware file it crashes. I would need native Linux software to make it work.

As mentioned this is likely a computer hardware compatibility issue. My laptop and desktop both run 7, yet I can't flash anything to iPhones/Android on my desktop. Consider trying XP, when all else fails, XP will work.

And as mentioned earlier by myself, I have used this hardware to connect to the phone before the upgrade to 8.1. I used this same laptop and cable to root the phone. After upgrading to 8.1 I could no longer access the phone at all over USB. There are only a few things left that could be the issue. Windows 8.1, or the phone's hardware.

As it turns out the phone is MUCH worse off than it appeared. I took it to have it looked at at a local Cellphone repair shop and they said they would need a JTAG machine to fix it. The port is working fine. I guess when I screw something up I do it right! lol.

Thanks again for all of your help guys!

Now I'm off to the interwebz to find myself a repair company to send my phone in that has a JTAG machine... damn.
