See if Motochopper works. It works on the F3 and it was originally for the F7.

motochopper doesnt work with the metropcs f6. I tried this morning didnt brick it but it also came back as a failure. still not rooted.

There is a root... it's just kinda iffy as to weather or not to trust the company that made the program... nonetheless it's called vroot if you Google it and decide it's worth it.

Warning, without an unlocked boot loader you cannot fix your phone if you mess it up playing in things that you don't understand.

What are the risks someone would take by rooting with vroot? Do I need a windows os because I use nothing but Linux?

I didn't try it on Linux.

There was worry of the program sending your imeid unsecured to an overseas server. My firewall showed nothing going out during root though.

You could try it in an xp vm. Might work

Alright I am going to try this out later this evening...I would like to know what apps I could uninstall from bloatware without bricking my device

I'll be uploading the list of what I've deleted tonight.

Oh, don't actually delete anything! Use es file manager to move the apk and odex files to external sd or internal and move them to pc for safe keeping since we have no recovery.

I've cleared 145.31mb of unwanted sounds and apps from system.

Gonna find a way to make an automatic list of what I've removed. There's stuff in system you may want to remove that I didn't though.

Yeah, that's old news. The vroot lacks some of the stuff that kingo has and did not set off anything on my outgoing firewall or set off any of the antivirus programs.
