Root [MetroPCS] Quick Question

Quick Question.
Does this phone have another phone that has plenty of development for it? such as different roms like miui, Aokp, etc...?
im not really sure which other device would be considered this phones brother/sister. i wanna bring something special to this phone and the people from the old motion forums no exactly what it is. Rhymes with "faceless wort":p :D :)

Edit: I found a couple devices with the same resolution and Roms in 4.4.2. Stay tuned for some Ports.
 
Don't know what would be the brother or sister phone to this, but the F and L series seem to have a decent following.
Do you plan on doing work on the F6, or are you just asking?
 
I wanna do some ports for the f6. Seeing as to how we already have 4.4.2 up and running perfectly. I'm gonna do something called Baseless Ports. Already have aokp, PAC, paranoid, avatar,and miui ported to my f6 just got tweak them a bit more before uploading.
 
By the way...im trying my best to fix some issues with these ports, because just like in the Lg motion, the ports still caused some problems on the ROM itself after flashing it. Such as backlight not turning off..which is a huge bish right now trying to fix.

Could you please share your method on doing baseless ports? I've never heard of it, and have not found A tutorial.
Also, which phones your porting from?
 
The difference in these ports is they don't contain a base rom. Therefore permission to port is not needed and you can flash it over any cm11 build allowing you to have the port and the best available base rom....from the person behind the idea. That pretty much sums it up. I just changed lg motion and cm10 part
 
I mean creating the port ROM to flash over cm11. I want to build CarbonRom and was wondering if making A baseless port is easier than building from source code. All I've successfully developed was A not-fully working recovery for the old LG Connect MS840 so I'm still researching.
Please post about making A flashable baseless port when and if you have time.

Check my baseless touchwiz port for the motion out. It gives you an idea of how to make them. And for those who are reading this...

Trying. 3 of them completely messed up my phone. Lol I fixed it and found out why. So basically no paranoid or pacman for now.

I'm working on carbon,miui, and I think the other is aokp? Not even sure. But backlight won't go away on one of them have to figure that out first.

I tested. Didn't flash for me. Installation Aborted after attempting to flash over hroarks 505 to 500 4.4.2 rom. That's the only 4.4.2 ROM he has.
Tried flashing over every other KitKat ROM on this forum as I figured maybe flash over AOSP. All I got was installation aborted everytime.
Can you give more details on how you got it to flash and boot?

Don't flash over any other rom. I said not to flash over anything but hroarks 4.4.2 ROM.

All you have to do is flash...nothing is required..I maybe have to change the script. For it to flash correctly. I'll upload new one tomorrow
 
The developer of OTA Verifier helped me realize that the CarbonRomT1.zip had only 1 subfolder of the same name. Have to multi-select META-INF and system then choose to archive with the file manager your using.
Flashed that and got this at set_perm:

Recovery Log.txt

Creating SymLink
symlink(): created [/system/bin]
symlink(): created [/system/etc/firmware]
symlink(): created [/system/etc/firmware/wcd9310]
symlink(): created [/system/vendor]
symlink(): created [/system/vendor/firmware]

I'm an idiot..i swear :sly: I flashed aokp not carbon....I just tried flashing this myself and I couldn't boot it. So I uploaded the wrong finished file. Sorry guys. And sorry crazy for all the trouble.
 
Your alright dude. I haven't made anything special to date exept A screwed up recovery, so I'm not upset. It's all A fun process.

I would like to see working baseless port for the F6 so I could probably make sense of what is needed from the port ROM and what to change.
You have some working zips? We'd all love to try it.

The problem is that i cant figure out how to set up updater-script properly..I've never been good with that kind of stuff. If i can figure that out all these will boot properly without a problem. i've sent a message to the person who came up with this idea to see if he can show me how to make the script the right way.
I have a couple of different roms finished just got to edit the updater-script.

lol anyways...wait for an update!

(Edit) this won't work on the euro port. Forgot its a stock port not cm11 :banghead: I've been breaking my head over this all this time. Ima focus on cm11 from now on :o
