Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] [ROM] [F3] Xperion ROM *Updated 2/13/2015*

tried the new rom and it was a shaky start. I kept getting crashes, but after installing and reinstalling those apps fixed. I think it may be the de-odexing or something. As of now everything is running smoothly for me. I just love being able to see the fade effect now when screen off instead of lag and then going black.

It's definitely not the deodexing since that's all the same done with latest versions of smali/baksmali.

Before I had it wipe data automatically from installer and now I don't. That could be the cause, but I won't know without a logcat.

If anyone else gets a crash post a logcat.
The command is:
adb logcat

I thought it was my backups from TiBu, but apparently not. I'll see if I can get you a logcat after work.

Hold off on the logcat till later today. I'm gonna upload another one that wipes data like how I had it originally when it worked. I'll let you know.

Was it system apps crashing or user apps from play store?

For me play store apps that had the apks in the /system/app folder crashed like gmail, youtube, hangouts, and play services especially.

Ok I asked a friend if he could give me or at least loan me an F3 he gave to a family member that no longer uses it so I won't have to work blind on it anymore. Hopefully it pans out. I'll redo the rom if it does.

In the meantime I went back to the previous rom version that worked and changed the following...
  • removed crt animation
  • updated some apps
  • added android 5.0 wallpaper
New link is up.

So you officially have an F3 now? Thats great, now you don't have to just hope that what you make for this phone works.

All of the crashes I had were restored backups from Titanium Backup. I found that I could install from the Play store and then restore the data, that worked fine.

It's just as well you don't need the logcat right now, I cut myself bad enough at work last night that I completely forgot about it. I'll be dealing with one hand for a few weeks, so I might not be quite as active here as I normally am.

Ouch sorry to hear that, get well soon.

Thanks. I just can't bend the middle finger of my left hand, so I can still do most things fine. I just can't type or play my guitar right now.

Oh woops I misunderstood what you wrote, you just asked him about it. Well if you do get the phone then it will be convenient.

I downloaded the rom from your website and noticed that its odexed again. I'm not complaining or anything as I prefer odexed roms, but did you odex the rom once again?

Going back to an odexed version would be nice, but I rather wait for the next update so I don't have to reinstall everything again. Thanks for all you efforts on the rom though :D I hope you can get that f3 from your friend

Hey kind sir is there anyway that you make the emoji system colorful instead of black and white? Jus curious caz i been searching on how to make my lg f3 display emoji in color on i av no luck so far

I've been having LOTS of problems with my phone. It's acting a little...

I keep getting a lot of memory errors, and at this point I've narrowed it down to either my SD card is going or the internal flash memory is failing. I'll post back when I get it figured out.

I've been getting a lot of battery draining, not sure if that's a bug or just my phone. I'll flash the rom again and see if it fixes.

PS: Yes I already did try calibrating it, and it didn't work.

I tried sixaxis with the original stock ROM and it was incompatible and I read some where that there's a way to make it compatible such as changing the kernel. So I was wondering since freedom kernel is used in this ROM, will it work?

No, if it does not work on the stock rom it will not work on this rom no matter the kernel. I answered this for you yesterday in the other forum.

Hi. I flashed the rom and made a backup using Xrecovery. I forgot to backup my contacts to Google so now I want to flash back to the backup, but when I use recovery reboot it just seems to reboot normally. I'm sorry if all this is really trivial but I'm new and inexperienced.

You're using the wrong recovery. If you read the rom installation instructions section, it points to the recovery you should be using.
