Root MetroPCS Tiered 4G Plans

Same here because i am going too be going up $20 unless i get rid of Dolphin and start using Opera again which i don't want to do. We will see how this goes. Maybe letting people who already have the plans keep then for a certain amount if time? i think they just saw too much leeway versus other carriers to be honest

If this is true, looks like I wont be having a cellphone anymore. I'm not paying those prices. If metro does this they are going to kill them selves. The whole point of Metro pcs is no contracts and lower prices. 70 bucks a month is practically what people pay on AT&T. so why be with Metro then?

Where's the guy that works at Metro? I NEED to know if this is true before I call Metro and go off...............which I might do anyway. :D
 
It doesn't make sense, they say they only have 500 thousand using the 4g, and they want to increase that. So why in flying hell would you raise the pricing? Shouldn't you lower it to entice them to switch over? My brother was looking at getting a 4g metro and when I told him i paid 60 bucks a month he desided to just stay with his basic phone he has with metro only paying $45per month. This increase just doesn't make any sense at all to me.

From what I heard it was supposed to kick in this month. I read it in a thread on howardforums and they aren't too happy about it. I will no way pay 70 bucks for unlimited eveything. They also ended international calling to Trinidad and people are quite ticked off about it also.
 
This nonsense it's like a car dealer trying to compete with another car dealer across from them by increasing their prices instead of lowering them.
 
Im just pissed about EVERYTHING counting towards data.

I got the 40 dollar plan because my data NEVER moves. I don't stream video or any of that shit. UGH Im so pissed off at Metro right now.

For 70 bucks you might as well go to Verizon.

That really sucks. I came from Boost 3 months ago just for the 4g unlimited. I don't use that much data, except on Netflix & Crackle. Not gonna do 70 bucks though. Be better off going to Sprint.
 
wtf i have the $60 unlimited 4g plan. If they pull this crap im gunna be so pissed. Im not paying $70 and pay $300 for a phone. For that i sign a contract, get a nice galaxy note or whatever for cheap because im signing a contract.
 
If I do decide to stay with them, I'll be using teathering like a soma beech, as of now I haven't been just because i feel wrong doing it when they don't officially support it. but sheet rip me off and I'll rip you off.
 
Yes sirrr... In my opinion for where i live i get between
10-12MB from Verizon LTE so may switch
for the extra $25 port month. Not bad if you ask me BUT at the same time Verizon is tiered too so maybe Sprint after SGS3 comes out with the Exynos?

This info was posted on Howard Forums about 2-3 days ago from a guy who is a dealer. From what he is saying, Metro knows this info has gotten out early before it is supposed to go into effect and the BIG WIGS are pissed!

All I can say... is don't sit here and complain! Call and email the company and voice your displeasure! Tell them you will leave for another carrier.

Remember this happened with Netflix!! Enough people complained and dropped them, that they changed the prices back and were begging people to come back to them.

With these changes what makes Metro any different than Verizon, Sprint etc.?

That's what made Metro unique and made them stand apart from the greedy contract based carriers. I guess Metro is just as greedy. They figure the economy is turning around " because the government says it is ." 5 dollar a gallon gas by summer too....watch!! Just saying.
 
Here is what people can do... download a data app or look at the Data Counter integrated onto the device and clear it the morning their next billing cycle starts. Use phone data and WiFi as NORMAL, at the end of the month look at it and see how much data you use. This is what I am going to do to see if I need anything more than the 5GB/month. If I do, then either Ascend D Quad or SGS3 here I come LoL
 
They only way big business understands is when you hit em in the pocket book!! Call and complain! I know I will be telling them I can easily switch to Verizon and pay 80 a month and get a better phone and have coverage and faster speeds EVERYWHERE I go. They don't " HAVE " to do this.... they " WANT " to.... GREED!
