Help MHL problem

Hope I'm posting in the right place.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on this.. I'm trying to connect my phone to my projector. It is an older projector and does not have HDMI. It does, however, have DVI and I've been using an HDMI-DVI cable to connect it to my laptop and xbox. When I tried to connect my MHL adapter to this HDMI connection, there was a response on both devices but the picture from the projector remained black.

I suspect it's an issue with the resolution. Is there a way to adjust the output resolution on the phone? I haven't found one yet.

I know thatt you need the MHL adapter and a powersource... Are you using your charger to connect the cable to the projector or are you just using a usb cable? I could only get a signal to my hdtv by using the charger.

Yes, it's plugged in. Like I said, both devices recognize the connection. Thanks for trying though.

I have the same problem..
I'm tring to connect my phone the my computer screen.. That only support dvi...
Anyone?
