So I was reading the Boost mobile HTC Evo Design 4g .pdf manual (http://support.boostmobile.com/user_guides/userguide_evodesign.pdf) and noticed this:

I will try that - update still does not work I tried with several different roms.

I have always read this phone doesn't support this. Only the evo v 3d does . Let me know if you get this to work.

MHL should work fine as long as you get a non-samsung MHL adapter. I'll have to double check this. My aunt still has a Design from Sprint and I have an MHL adapter I got from the sprint store. Will post back once I test this out.
