Help Mic in Google Talk

For some reason when I start a video chat on Talk using my XOOM the other person cannot hear me. It's happened with two different people. Is there a mic setting I am missing? I captured some video using my XOOM and audio is recorded and played back, so why is the mic picking up sound when I am simply recording video, but not on Talk?

Any advice?

It looks to be an ongoing issue for quite a few users, myself included. Google Talk used to play both video and sound flawlessly, but as of recent, the sound has been non-functional during video chat (I can, however, do a normal voice chat).

The mic works just fine anywhere else, so I'm leaning towards it being a Talk issue.
