Help mic problem. neet replacement

My girlfriend's phone has white noise when on calls. When I blow at mic it goes away and other line can hear me. But white noise comes back later. She got the phone from amazon in November. Should I send it to amazon or samsung for warranty?

Probably neither. Usually in any warranty situation with At&t, you are going to contact the carrier directly. It is most likely out of Amazon's return/exchange window, and even if you did contact Samsung and were willing to replace it, they would go through the long process of sending you a phone, then you send yours back. Recently, someone in my family had a warranty situation with another At&t smartphone; we contacted customer care, and were later transferred to the warranty center. They were helpful, and deemed that the device was in fact defective and all we had to do was bring it in to a local At&t device support center. There, they pretty much just swapped out the defective phone for a new(refurbished) one. Not sure if they have that kind of "device service center" in your area, but if they do, its definitely worth avoiding the hassle of waiting 7-10 business days for a phone. Hope this helps, and hope your problem gets fixed.

if there is anything good about ATT, it would be their Device Support Centers, assuming they carry your phone. The SGS2 is supported, but I seriously doubt they will have a non-Skyrocket replacement. Worth a shot though.

btw, are you sure the mic and/or noise cancelling mic isnt blocked or full of lint?

I bought a phone before on Amazon Wireless (my previous Infuse 4G) and they were excellent about being friendly and sent me a replacement Infuse 4G when my first one had a dent on the metallic casing around the screen. However, that was within 30 days of having received the phone, so it might have been different.

AT&T/Samsung cover your phone for one full year with warranty, given that the issue wasn't due to something you did. I think for your case, if you call AT&T (and be reasonable and friendly), they will send you a replacement, given that the issue is really an issue (they might try to make you factory reset before they deem you as deserving of a new phone though, which can be a pain).

I just had my GS2 non sky rocket replaced under warranty. They do have them. Very quick shipping. They will send you a refurbished device and a return label for your old phone. You only get the phone. No battery or battery door. Just FYI.

So you called ATT CS for replacement? It's my girlfriend's gs2 and phone hasn't been opened and no water has gotten on the phone. Just started happening.
