Accessories micro SD card 32gb?

A Nandroid backup is a backup you take of your current setup/OS in clockwork before you flash a new ROM/kernel/theme etc.

Basically if you don't flash stuff with clockwork/aren't rooted, you've no need to worry about it! :)

I bought a 32gb micro SD Class 4 card for my phone back in Ocotber and last week it died a death. I was lucky I only lost a few days photos because I had been forwarding the photos on by email to family. The company I used was mymemory.co.uk and they are sending me out a new one.

Has anyone else had any problems either with this company or this type of card?

I've used mymemory.co.uk and am happy to recommend them. I think the fact that they are sending you a new card is confirmation enough that they are a decent organisation. I know the card is still under guarantee, so they should replace it, but how many stories have we heard here about eBay sellers who never answer emails, let alone replace goods that have failed (or, more often, were never what was described). It's a fact of life that electronic devices do sometimes fail and I'd put it down to simple bad luck.

Received the memory card today so basically took 5 days to come. Pretty decent I think. I agree that sometimes electronic devices fail as the micro SD card is so small, maybe the tinniest of scratches can damage it. Just transferring over the files from old SD card just now. Bit of a bonus as well because the last SD card said it only had 28.4GB and the new one 30.0GB. :)

Hi all,

Very new to the forum and apologize for hijacking your thread but I am in the same boat as you.

So here it goes..

I have finally decided to take the plunge and root my HTC Desire HD phone.
Once of the requirements that I see is that it should have space on the SD Card and looking at mine, after deleting all photos,I have less than 1MB free.
I am planning to get the 32GB SD card and have come across the listing below on the net

Sandisk 32GB microSDHC Card micro SD HC 32G New Mobile Tablet Memory AU Stock

from what I can see it looks perfect but before I place the order could someone please advice if this is the right one and the buyer is trustworthy.
Also how do I transfer the stuff on my present 8GB card to the new card.
Thanks heaps for your advice.
Much appreciated.

Hey darkhome, there was no link there (to fight spam, you need to reach a certain amount of posts to be able to add post a link). If you try again, we'll be able to tell you if the card is legit.

Hi El Presidente,

Thanks.

I'd steer clear of eBay, it's a minefield for fake SD Cards, even if the seller looks legit. Do you have an Australian Amazon?

Thanks for the advice.
Dont think we have Australian Amazon but I am sure I can order from Amazon and it will get delivered.

Do you have a link to a SD card that will work??

Much appreciated.

Most genuine 32GB cards will work, if you steer clear of eBay and go with a reputable seller (locally or online), you should be ok.

Not sure about good retailers in Oz though, sorry.

darhome, like the pres says, your card will work (I have exactly the same spec), i store all my family pix on it (7,798!! at last count) plus 890 music tracks and have 3.4gb still available, plus I have most of my apps on the SD card. The trick is making sure your retailer is trustworthy, but the card you quote is the one you want.
