micro sd card damaged erro

i have had this happen a few times. i lose my data on my card which pisses me off.

i can only assume it might be from when i swap batteries during the day? i never had this happen on other devices when swapping batteries with an sd card in the phone

anyone else?

Do you turn the phone off before swapping batteries?

Seems to be a fairly common problem. I had it happen to me once and all I did was reboot the phone. After it came back on, it gave me the "damaged SD card" error message. I took the card out, plugged it into my laptop and was able to read it just fine, and all my files were still there. Put it back in the Hero and it work fine again like nothing happened. When I Googled that error message, there were many people with Android-based phones (not just Hero) having this problem.

once i was able to recover files. second time i had no way of getting into the card. i even tried software to help recover files didnt work.
