samsung galaxy note 2 n7105 - -will this device accept all sd cards or are some incompatable?
can an sd card be seen straight away in device or does device need to be rooted to use sd card?. thx confused.

As far as I know it will accept any micro sd card. Anywhere up to 64gb.

Root should not be necessary to use external storage.

Yes

Up to 64gb. When you put a new one in you need to format it in the phone.

menu
settings
storage
format sd card

If you want to run videos from the sd card I suggest you buy at least a class 6 card so that the access speed is fast enough.

You may have read about rooting and moving apps to sd card. Rooting is needed to do this but is not really necessary on this phone for that reason. (My phone is rooted but I dont bother with apps to sd as there is plenty of space anyway). Certainly dont need root to put data on sd.
