Help micro sim

ok so here is the problem i have an iphone 4 which uses the smaller sim card and i had a galaxy i switched between the two and my sim worked fine but when i got the inspire 4g it wont read my sim is there a quick fix or am i just not placing the sim in the right spot
 
The sim slot is the spot on the right when you have to phone face down and the bottom cover off. Is it in the right slot? And do you have it in the right way?
 
Do you have the micro adaptor? Maybe it's popping out of the adaptor slightly and not making contact? I know a couple people who went from iphone 4 to inspire and theirs works fine

I have a iPhone 4 micro sim in my Inspire. I took a old full size sim for a iPhone 3G and cut a slot for the micro sim to fit into and have that contraption in the Inspire and it works fine. Just have to make sure the micro sim lines up where the full size one would. It sounds like yours may not be.
