So the Droid came with a 3' cable. My night-stand docking station also came with a (too short) 3' cable. At NewEgg, I bought a 6' and 10' Micro-USB cable so any of these 4 can be used anywhere - including the car with the addition of one of these:

Make sure to choose one that outputs as many mA as possible. Otherwise you run the risk of draining your battery while using GPS even if connected to a charger.
