did a search and i see most of the threads are a year old by now..
so does anyone know if i have to use the samsung cable, or can i just buy any micro usb to hdmi cable? i know there are some compatibility issues with the regular non-samsung micro USB cables and charging the phone... so it might be an issue here.
i personally find the $50 price tag for a cable that costs pennies on the dollar to make a bit overpriced; so if i could get away with getting a cheap one for $15, all the better.
