Micro USB to MHL HDMI Converter

Does it matter what converter I get or will any search on eBay do? For instance:

mhl converter | eBay

Does anyone have any particular recommendations? Thanks!

(Clearly I'm getting ready for the arrival of my Nexus whenever the Verizon Stork brings it, and honestly, what Nexus nursery is complete without one of these? LOL)

Fail! This is for phones with a micro-hdmi port. As I understand it, the Nexus only has a micro-usb that can be converted using a micro-usb to hdmi. You bought the wrong cable lol.

Check this image of the adapter - see how it has a micro-USB port on the side? That's for the charger, so that the phone can charge while the MHL-HDMI converter is in use.

It can't be done with a cable. There was a site in Europe six months ago claiming Samsung was about to sell one, but nothing came of that.

You need a powered adapter similar to the one that I linked above. Search Amazon for MHL adapter if you don't want to try monoprice.com or other sources.
