Haptic feedback won't help - that's where the phone vibrates when you touch the screen, so if it has any noticeable effect on battery life it will be a reduction rather than an improvement. Juice Defender is an app you download from the Play Store, which is intended to help you save power. I've never used it myself, but it may be worth a go.
As D-U-R-X has said, the best advice would be to visit the A75 forum and find out what other owners find works for them.
