Help Microphone not working

Hi all,

Yesterday, unpacked my new Nexus. Looks great, except when calling, the mic does not respond. In other words; the caller/callee cannot hear me. When I put the phone on speaker, suddenly everything is fine.

Anyone has an idea what goes wrong?
Seems like a software or configuration (read.... that would be me.) problem, since it works when I use the speaker. The mic itself therefor is not dead

I have tried factory resets, without any app-syncing to avoid the problem being related to installed apps, but that did not help

I had a similar problem with my first Nexus but it happened about 15 minutes into a call. Some believe it is a SIM card problem. I did exchange my phone and have not had the problem since.

Thanks for the tip.

Tried it with different SIMs, no success, so I returned it to the shop.

Now I have to wait for 10 days to get feedback whether they repair or give a new one....
