Help Microphone

So I purchased a refurbished LG Optimus. I only have one problem with the phone. That is, when making a call the other person I am on the phone with always tells me that I need to speak louder, or that it sounds like I am going through a tunnel. I have tried everything from cleaning out the mic hole, to hard reset. Nothing makes a difference. I have also had someone use my phone while I was on another phone I can def. say I understand why people keep telling me to speak louder. I want to keep this phone and before I have to pay for return shipping I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, with being able to fix it? I have seen other post( http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-f7/806781-optimus-f7-issues.html ), but none that have been able to fix it. If not I will bite the bullet and send it back with 10 bucks in shipping fees. Plus be ok with a flip phone for a week or so. Thanks for any help.

Send it back or send it to LG for them to repair for free or dont buy refurbished phones lol although its no news that the F7 has a mircophone problem for some users, Mine is fine. Try my ROM out, it has noise cancellation enabled.
 
Beg or borrow a Bluetooth or (preferably) wired headset and see if it still happens. If not, it's probably a bad mic. If it does, it's probably a bad design. (If it's a bad mic, and a common problem, as you seem to indicate), it's probably a bad mic design, so even changing the mic won't do anything.

Even Ford made an Edsel.
 
It works fine with my bluetooth and my incar setup. It is only when physically using the mic. Which leads me to the fact its probably the mic. I would love to try your rom lol but not to sound like a total newb every time I try to get a custom recovery on it just resets everything. I know I have root. I kinda just gave up for a bit after I found this mic problem. I only have 6 more days to return it, this was the bigger problem to me. No offense lol.

i got three lg optimus f7 before find one work mic great
