MicroSD Suggestions?

Watch out for Counterfit cards...you can google and find out ways to test on your phone to see if the card meets the specs. SD Tools in the Play Store is one way to check.

They look exactly like the real thing but may not be but an 8 gb card when sold for a 32 and they will rewrite over your data and also the write speeds to the card and read speeds may not be legit.

Go on Amazon and read the reviews and make sure to buy from a legit seller.

SD tools doesn't work on S3 yet. I used H2testw on my workstation to verify my SD card as the work around.

I believe UHS over class 10 has another advantage, large file size. Might want to check on that before getting a class 10.

Wait, what? Can you elaborate on that? I'm trying to figure out why two of my video files won't transfer over to my class 4 microsd without becoming unplayable. They are both quite large.

I couldn't get this app to work on my s3 but then I selected advanced then typed in
mnt/extSdCard then press save so this setting is stored , all u then do is press menu then advanced path then save then start speed test and it works , when u type in the above and save it spell it exactly as I've done or it won't work , their is 2 capital letters S C

then I tested my sd cards
Samsung 8gb class 10
SanDisk ultra 32gb class 10
so which one is fastest

Samsung was the most reliable hitting 14mb/s write and 16mb/s read speed every time

SanDisk write speed was inconsistent speeds varied between 8.5 - 14mb/s
read speed hit 16mb/s every time
SanDisk is just a tiny bit faster on read speed than Samsung but not by much

Samsung has more consistent faster write speeds than SanDisk

If I purchase a SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC UHS-I Class 10 Flash Memory Card - SDSDU-064G-A11

Do I format it in exFat or Fat32 through the S3?

THX for the info on getting this to work on the SGS III. I'd used it way back when I had my HUAWEI ASCEND W/CM7.

BTW, stupid question time:

When submitting your results to the developer,a window pops up asking for manufacturer. Are they asking for phone manufacturer or SD CARD manufacturer?

THX!
