miicroSD Card Help

Can anyone tell me if there any restrictions on what type of microSD card I can use in my Optimus? Do they all work? I'd like to put some movies on my phone, so I'll need a larger one to do that.

Also, once I get it, are there any tricks to transferring the contents from my old card to the new one?

I'm not versed enough to know if there are restrictions on the type of micro sd card.

However, as far as tricks to get the data from the old to the new, probably the easiest is to connect the phone to the usb and make sure you have usb storage turned on. Copy the sd card to your computer. Once that is done, unhook your phone and take out the old and put in the new. Then reconnect the phone and then either move or copy the data to the new sd card (if you copy, you have a back up on your computer still, if you move it you won't have that back up).

Stick with big brand cards like SanDisk, Lexar, and Kingston. Off brands are not of the same quality. Also, never buy one off Ebay. It is notorious for fakes.

The Lg optimus M comes with a free SanDisk 2g MicroSD, as far as i know, most work as long as you use micro sd (real sd are too big) But yes like UKCatFan said, stick to the big brands. Better quality, and something els ei have found out, the cheaper ones come with already installed stuff so that it can work (but SanDisk hides the files, and still has the 2g avaible for use) So yes, big brands are our friends

How do you turn on USB storage? I plugged my phone in to my computer and it wanted to search for a driver.
