Root Milestone Overclock clarification

...hey all. As always, apologies if this is a repeated question.

I just wanted some clarification on the Milestone Overclock app, which I have set at 800 MHz...does this mean that the phone ALWAYS runs at this speed, even when in a low activity state with screen off or charging? Or does the phone power down at the proper times?

I know about the profiles on SetCPU, but didn't want to get that running as well. Sorry, I'm anal like that.

The same as most mobile OSes, Android is able to down-clock the CPU as needed, so overclocked or not, there is nothing to worry about.

Some people say SetCPU profiles add a bit of battery life, but since it still will not hold charge for two full days I would not bother, since I have to charge it every night.
