Help Milestone will not turn on

I have replacement batteries for my milestone so that when I run out of juice i simply swap batteries and this has been working perfectly for the past 6 months.

Yesterday when i tried to swap the batteries is when things started going wrong. i put the new battery in and it got stuck at the boot logo. So i yanked the battery and tried to turn it on again but this time it would not turn on at all. I tried plugging it into the wall charger and nothing happens the led wont even turn on.

I've tried all the basic check the battery connectors make sure its fully charge and what not but this thing just will not turn on. Anyone have any suggestions?

PS. Its a rooted milestone and my cousin gave it to me as a gift so i dont have warranty options here i need to try and figure something out any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Did the phone get wet?

No it has not, it has been dry and working up until i replaced the battery

If both batteries dont work I'm not sure what it could be. You could always try and see if someone else has a Milestone battery to try or go into the store and see if that works. Really slim chance that both batteries died at the same time so it's most likely the phone. Although I have never tried it I do believe the phone does power up with out a battery in it but it will tell you that it needs one in to fully function.
