Help Mini reboot when closing apps?

I really don't want to do a factory reset... How much data will I lose? I don't have a task killer, but I have downloaded loads of apps so maybe a common one is causing it since updating the app? Should we list our apps to see if any are common? I also get the crash if I'm exiting the settings menu, not just apps so maybe it's a bit more fundemental. Was sense updated with the recent Gingerbread update?

Besides all your personal settings reverting to their defaults, you will need to re-install all apps (it won't wipe out the data on your SD card, so if you have data associated with an app on the SD card and re-install the same app, the data will be accessible).
Sorry - can't answer your question about Sense.

I just had an idea - if you join appbrain, we could compare apps (it allows others to see the apps you have installed). I had it on my last phone; it's a cool app for finding other apps. I'm going to install it.

I just performed a factory reset and it still happens. I have never installed any task killers. Sometimes it goes to the HTC screen and then has to load the icons, but most of the time it just has to load the icons. I don't find it very annoying and it doesn't happen very often.

Sh*t! That's discouraging. I've been dealing with it for a month now. Most of the time it isn't a big deal (the whole thing takes less than 10 seconds, usually), but sometimes it irks the hell out if me.
I mean, I switched from my Eris for a faster processor, and this extra wasted time is just a pita.

Just for encouragement, I have not had one reboot since factory reset performed several days ago :) Clock app is still missing...
I too came from an Eris and sometimes, just sometimes, I miss it.

Just a quick update, I removed an app called crackle 8 hours ago and so far so good. I installed this app around the time it started to happen according to appbrain. I'll keep you updated

Ok, 14 hours post uninstall of crackle and all is well. Anyone else have cackle installed?

I've never even heard of cackle (or crackle either). So far, it seems it's not a folder organizer or a task killer (one person with the problem says they don't have the former, and I don't have the latter). Anyone besides me with the problem have Multicon?

Hey guys, just wanted to let yall know its not just you three. I have an HTC thunderbolt and this happens to me all the time. But there is a pattern. When I first got my phone, it didn't to this, and that was about a year ago February. Then sometime last year, it started up, and was really annoying. To where I had to train myself to hit the back button instead of the home button so that it would happen less often. Then around Feb this year, I dropped it one too many times, and the screen went crazy. So I had to buy a new one. I got the new one and the HTC thing wasn't happening.......until a few days ago :/ it seemed to start around the time I downloaded the task killer, so I uninstalled it. It's still happening, but I haven't restarted my phone since, so ill try that and see if it helps. Hoping we find a solution

The problem became so annoying that I finally just bypassed Sense and went with Go Launcher to circumvent the problem. That was on my last DInc2.

About three weeks ago I got a replacement DInc2 (the charging port went bad on my original). Since then, I've been running Sense with no issue. Same apps installed as before (including Folder Organizer and Multicon). So far, so good.
