Minimum data speed for Navigation?

Just a question out of curiosity. What's the minimum data speed that seems to be required for Navigation to run reasonably well? I'm guessing that when you're in a fast-moving car, your phone will need to be able to download at higher speeds to keep up with the required updates.

For me, anything over 100kB/s is acceptable.

As long as you don't add too many filters, like satellite views, your connection can be quite slow and Navigation can load everything just fine.

Dang you. I've been thinking about ditching my grandfathered $25/mo VM for TMO's $30/plan. Only thing keeping me is some kind of hope Sprint will improve speeds in my area. Used to get 700kbps. Now i get 100kbps and sometimes even lower!

Now I'm stuck in the middle!

You could always download an app that does offline navigation. No internet required.

But I think you still have to download maps? Google Navigation has the offline caching feature available. I just wish Sprint would make life easier for us VM'ers.
