Help Minisd Card

Just got a new minisd card and wondered do I have to copy what is already on the old one over to the new?

I havent put anything on it as only had the phone 3 days but the card seems to have folders etc on it.

I copied everything ,except the pc companion , I don't think you have to copy it at all, but i liked how the folder's were set out.
