Help Minor update on Nexus 4 issue

Hi there,

I've read posts online about a new 4.3 update/patch for Nexus devices being pushed out.

I got mine this morning via OTA. When i tried to update it via OTA, it went into CWM recovery and attempted to flash it. I then got the error "Installation Aborted.... Status 7" error in clockworkmod recovery.

I rebooted my phone and it tried to optimise the apps. But whenever i go to about phone the build number is still on JWR66V instead of JWR66Y:mad:. I then tried to update it again via OTA but it says along the lines of "No new updates".

I decided to flash the OTA zip file via CWM by getting the file from this website:Download: Android 4.3 “JWR66Y” OTA Updates Roll Out (Nexus 4, 7, 10, and Galaxy Nexus) – Droid Life

The same issue occurs. It keeps failing. The CWM recovery version is 6.0.3.4. I still dont see the OTA update anymore from Google.

What should i do? Any ideas please?

****UPDATE****

I got round this by following these steps(in my case):
- Ensure that you have the latest SuperSu zip file on your internal storage
- unroot through app e.g SuperSu
- boot into recovery
- flash required updates
- while still in recovery, flash SuperSU zip file
- reboot(if it asks you to disable flash recovery, select YES!)
- After reboot, grant all apps which require su root access again

My Nexus 4 is still unrooted, but I had rooted my Nexus 7 just a day before the update and this worked perfectly. Cheers! :)

You need to be on the .84 stock radio, stock kernel, no modifications to the system file & all system apks installed for the JWR66Y update to execute. If you have done any of the lte mods which alter the build prop & flashed one of the hybrid radios you need to revert these changes first to update. I used a nandroid backup made after updating to JWR66V which is not altered & flashed update in found in link below via cwm recovery.
