Root MiRaGe kernel

Right after the March OTA came out I tried Mirage and it did not work very well on my phone. I just flashed the latest version on my rooted stock rom (s-off) and it works very well. More testing needed to see if this is a keeper, but the benchmarks are good.

ic. i think its more for ICS stock based roms. the reason i am interested is because i used to use his rom and kernel on Optimus V and Nook Color. they were very impressive.

I'm pretty sure the kernel now works on a few jb roms with little or no problems.

I'm more of a stock-modded kinda guy

By any chance do you know if this would run on the Angry Beans rom?

After a short trial I did not experience any issues. However, the developer is hard at work on this project and changes are frequent. I would like to give him a bit more time to polish things before I give it an extended test.

Actually I think he's about done, and moving to another project

Hi everyone, how is going :)

I don't have much to add. All of the questions have been answered already. I will also try to answer, if there are other questions. Would it help if I start a local thread here?

Just to clarify, I am developing and doing the extensive testing with stock ICS ROM. I have done some testing with other 4.2 based ROMs, some of them worked. The latest build of WFTN does not boot with my kernel due to kgsl driver changes merged in their own repo. I can't do the same since it breaks the ICS ROM. But I have cherry-picked many kgsl driver updates that are safe for the stock ROM. I could do a branch for 4.2 ROMs but the problem is that 4.2 ROMs are not consistent among each other either. So, one more branch will not be sufficient. Additionally, I don't want to interfere with the other ROM developers' work out of respect to their work.

The development of MiRaGe kernel has reached a level that I am considering the current build as the stable build now. I will only do minor changes and updates from now on.

Very nice pics you have over there. I would be proud if I can convert an artist like you to my kernel :) MiRaGe is ready for everyday use already and it will not get much better than this. Give it a serious try and let me know if you can.

Flattery will get you everywhere. I will flash it later today. I would do it now, but I am waiting for a call.

Think mirage is okay for mobsterz unlocked potential Rom? It has power kernel, and is mostly modded stock..I did a nandroid backup earlier. I may try mirage.

I am not sure about mobsterz unlocked, never tried but I wouldn't surprised if MiRaGe works. Do a nandroid and try it. You can post in the MiRaGe thread in this forum. The original thread is in XDA but I have started the AF thread here after seeing the discussion in this thread.
