Help misdialing facebook contacts

I have an LG Ally from Verizon. I have downloaded contacts from facebook to my contacts but when I choose one of the facebook contact phone numbers it dials 011 at the beginning. Obviously the result is that verizon tells me I need an international calling plan. What can I do? Does this have anything to do with the fact that the numbers come from facebook with +1 at the beginning (such as +1-555-555-5555)?

There is an app called prefixer i think that you can use to fix it. If you searched this forum i KNOW this has been discussed before. I cant be any more help than that as apparently im the last person on earth without a facebook. But i have seen A LOT of issues with facebook and syncing contacts. But like i said. Im sure you can search and find all the answers.
