missed call not saving

Today I received a call and I wasn't able to take it, so it left a missed call notification. I looked at it and decided I would call back later. Problem is it didn't save in the call log, and since I don't remember what the number was I can't call back. Is there a way I can retrieve this somehow?

If you got a missed call notification, it should have also gone into the call log. Something is very wrong here.

Nope, I checked the call log literally like 5 seconds after viewing the notification and it wasn't there.

If you didn't clear the notification it should still be there - if you actually viewed the notification by selecting it it should have automatically opened up your call log and show the missed call. After that viewing, it does not show up as missed anymore.

So, did you clear the notification, or did you view the notification and thus the call, then close out and try to go back?

I viewed the notification. I actually saw the number, but don't remember it. And when I entered the call log later it just wasn't there.
