Help Missed Call - screen stays unlocked?

Hi,

I just bought a new Epic last weekend (after 10 years with Palm OS!), and there is one thing I have noticed that I haven't been able to find a workaround to. When I have a missed call, the screen stays on unlocked! I could change the screen timeout to 15 seconds, but I really want to keep it at a longer level (because when I am using the phone, I want do want the screen to stay on for longer amounts of time) and the screen would still stay on unlocked for those 15 seconds (so if it is in my pocket, buttons could be pushed)

If I use the pattern lock, then the pattern lock comes up after the missed call and the screen timesout. However, I really really want to use the default screen lock - I just want that to come up after a missed call.

I haven't been able to find anything else on this in my searching - is anyone else having this problem? All suggestions appreciated :-) Thanks!
 
I am having this issue also

not sure what it is but it happened with my update to 2.2 DK28 and is still there after EB13 and root and EXT4 conversion and midnightrom install - so it must be something inherent to the OS

I havent had a problem as of yet like pressing buttons of whatever because I have it in a microfiber pouch while in my pocket so for me its not really a problem

but some devs should look into this
