missed notification screen wake app?

hi all,

so as the led is a bit of a one trick pony, was thinking of getting a missed notification app that wakes the screen briefly- have tried a couple but they seem to interfere with normal notifications :/ one of them stopped some calendar reminders and the other stopped the led for missed calls!

any good ones found?

Have you looked at Light Flow? As far as I can remember, there's an option in that to wake the screen for notifications.

thanks yes i have - that was my go to led app on s3 but unfortunately on m8 without root it just triggered the led all the time
ive spoken with the dev and he says that this would be expected without root

thanks - yes ive been trying that one - its pretty good .....most of the time - but was oddly missing some calendar reminders when using - mailed the dev a few times but no response

You could try something like this ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.greatbytes.activenotifications). Do bear in mind that it might preclude your LED altogether, as the LED typically won't activate if the screen has been enabled for something like this.

thanks for the idea - yes ive been trying that app for a while - is generally good but noticed that some of my calendar reminders were just disappearing, or not triggering with it running :/ odd

I'm using his slidelock app and there's an option to light up the screen for notifications.

Jist scanned the thread but try the "breathing" function of Dynamic Notifications (pro) (great app).
That will wake the screen at set intervals for a notification if you set it up right mate :thumbup:

I use Lightflow in combination with Slidelock.

Slidelock wakes up the screen for a few seconds when something comes in so I can decide whether to act on it - also providing a direct link to open or clear.

If I'm not near my phone then the ongoing colour coded led flashing will tell me if something is waiting for me.

thanks Gren.. yes I've used light flow for ages on my s3 but unfortunately the m8 only has one led colour, and LF doesn't work very well with it... I'm not rooted yet
