Help missing Home icons?

1st smartphone so I'm just learning the basics. I don't like the music app and wanted to get new one. VM's tutorial said to go through the Market icon or, if missing, go through the launcher icon. Well, I have neither and am pretty sure I did not delete them, if that's even possible.
Any comments/advice for nubee?

Market is now Play Store. Start with that and get back if you still have issues.
