missing HTC sense

SmallDL

Newbie
I am going from the HTC one S to the Nexus 5, i think i'm missing sense a little more then I thought i would. I really don't like the dialer or phonebook that comes stock. i tried adding sync.me cause i really liked having FB pictures. But its the whole set up that I am missing. Anyone have any suggestions? Other then the usual gripes about the speaker and the camera issues. I really like the phone so far.

Anyone?

The only thing I'll miss about my One X is beats audio.

I think its more of the style that I had with the phone book, I just pulled it out and realized that the setting I had was half dialer and the other half was the call history. There is no option to do that with this one. So really its a minor thing.

and yes, I am finding I miss the beats audio too. I am still flummuxed as to the thinking of having one speaker at the bottom of the phone like that.

I missed Touchwiz a lot when switching from S4 to N5.

Got used to it now, but things like the notification bar, pre-installed widgets like torch and alarm and other bits are much much better on Touchwiz.

You do have to download 3rd party apps like Power Toggles to fix this, which is a bit stupid, but 3 weeks down the line, I am finding the stock android interface awesome.

Personally, I rarely find myself using the dialer (I use Google Now most of the time) - but there are dialer apps available on the playstore that may give you a UI similar to what you are used to
Ex dialer, dialer one, etc (I have not used either of these)

Au contraire, that's the whole raison d'etre of the Nexus line.... freedom of choice. You get to install what you like, not what suits some anonymous software engineer back at the factory. :)

(apologies for the cod French btw, it just slips out :o )
