Help Missing market app

Today I installed android 2.3 on my droid x. After doing so, the market app is gone. I did a reboot and battery removal, but still no market app. Can anyone tell me how to get the market app back?
 
I assume you are talking about android 2.2 because to my knowledge there is no such thing as android 2.3. As for a missing market icon. I know depending on where phones are sold sometimes they do not have access to android market. If you had it before I can't explain why you don't now. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
 
The Motorola build version of Android 2.2 (Froyo) is 2.3.15, assuming you mean that. I've heard of this happening to people, sounded like doing a factory reset might fix it. Are you rooted or anything? I'm guessing not since you just updated, but gotta ask. Anyways, search around here for "missing market app", you should find some pointers.
