Help Missing photos.

I've got a strange problem since fitting a new larger capacity SD card. Due to a lack of space i bought this Lexar 32GB.
Lexar 32GB Micro SDHC High Speed Card with Reader - Class 10 Extreme Speed: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

All i did was copy everything from the old card to my PC and transferred it all to the new card and fitted the card. Now i thought all was well since doing this, the phone all worked fine and had the extra space i wanted. Until today i had been taking photos as you do and not had any problem but i just plugged my phone into my PC to copy the photos off the phone and none of the photos i have taken since the card swap are there.

When i look at sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA on the PC or on the phone using Astro it's still the same, no photos from since the card swap. All the photos are there if i use the gallery on the phone and the details tell me that the photos are where i know they should be but there just not there.

So i'm baffled. Anyone got any idea's what might be causing this?

Did you use the stock cam app?
If not, an other cam app could use an other named folder for its pictures.

EDIT: The gallery app QuickPic shows all folders with pictures and videos. So you could see if your new pictures are in an other folder then 100MEDIA.

I'm using the standard camera app and in gallery / camera shots the photos are there and details tells me they are in folder 100MEDIA.

If Astro doesn't show the files in DCIM folder, then it is worth to check the card for errors.
Try on windows error-checking (right click on the card, properties, tools, error-checking).

I've had this problem for some time. I have lost pictures and videos. They show up in the gallery OK until you've mounted the card to be read by the PC. Then you can't find them. Remount the card for phone use and they are gone, no longer in gallery.

Is this the same problem you are having?

The only solution I have found at the moment is to use dropbox then send them over the wifi so you can access them from the PC.

Hi

The Gallery in my desire wont open and I can't see the pictures. The camera will not take pictures, I get a message "Unable to save file to SD Card due to insufficient permission" I can see the pictures through file manager but can't delete them. The phone say SD Card Mounted ReadOnly, but all other apps on Card work fine. Please help.
