Help Missing pics

All of a sudden when I take a pic & it's saved to SD card it never shows up. I have always had it set to save them to SD card & have never had any problem with them. But now when have camera set to save to SD card & take a pic then go into gallery to view the pic it's not there. All it shows is grey screen. All of the other pics that were already on SD cardare still there. If I switch it to save pics to camera memory everything works fine. I tried unmounting & re-installing SD card along with battery pull & restart with no luck. Anyone else have this issue?

Ah, ok. I'm thinking of user install apps not being able to write to ext-sd. (I assume you are using the stock camera app?)
Unless someone else has experienced this, or has a better idea, the only thing that comes to mind is to save what is on the sd card to pc, format it, transfer back the data, and try it again. :dontknow:
Wish I could be of more help to ya, sorry :(

The pics I've uploaded to Google drive have disappeared. The file is there, but the image will be missing. Not sure if you too have uploaded those images (or maybe it's set to auto upload to drive or a similar cloud service?

I'm confused about the words, tell me if I'm guessing right ok.

OK, pictures are in image files (jpg, gif, png, etc) - if you get a file and open it, the picture will appear.

So I'm thinking maybe you have a view problem and the thumbnail of the pictures are gone (and it's impossible to choose a picture file without the thumbnail previews - ok it is for me).

Is that the problem?

If so, please say how you are viewing Drive - on phone with app, on pc browser, other? All details are important to help debug.

If not what you meant, apologies, please explain again. :)

My problem seems to have resolved itself. What's weird is when it was acting up I switched out SD cards & it would work fine with another card. But now I have the original one in & everything works the way it should. I seem to have notice it working normal again after an update to Twitter.....not sure if that actually had something to do with it or just coincidental.

When you experienced the problem, was your camera set to HDR?
With KitKat I found that when I took a HDR photo, and after taking the photo exit the camera, this photo was lost. If I waited a few seconds (5?), it gave the camera enough time to process the HDR and save it. The good news is that this problem was solved with Lollipop 5.0.1
