Root MIUI Rom - Please point me in the right direction

Or just run a different launcher over it. I'm running MIUI, but with GO Launcher over it. Perfect combo. I love the look of MIUI, just hate the launcher.

1) Nah, no need to flash a new radio, unless you really want to!

are there any tell tale signs *IF* to flash a new radio?

or would a sign that I needed a new one be like....calling/messaging/data etc not working?

Yeah, it seems to be that if your radio works ok, then there's no need to change. If your signal/data/etc is a bit flaky, it may be worth trying a newer radio - and I think if it's a really, really old one from android 1,6-ish days, it may not work properly with, say, android 2.3

I live in a very rural area with pretty poor coverage for everything, so I flashed mine to 5.17.05.08 (from 5.09.05.30_2) and saw... absolutely no difference whatsoever.
