Liking this rom, getting more used to it very quickly, quick question, I'm trying to register on the miui forum and the "random question" is where is miui.com located? and I dont see the answer anywhere??? is this a trick question? I cant register without it thansk
 
I tried united kingdom, no dice
edit: I just entered a different DOB and it gave me a different question that I could actually answer lol. This rom is impressive, anyone else running it?

It was my understanding that the Miui Rom was ported from a Chinese based ROM...?

"Format ALL - Format's boot, cache, data & system partitions"

So no, not the SD card. You can do that from recovery in Amon Ra, & probably ClockWorkMod. Just be sure to back it up to your PC first.
If you're using DarkTremors a2sd you can also format your EXT2,3,4 partition in Amon Ra.

You're right, I saw th $80k+ price & assumed it was for sale. :o
The MIUI-DEV link I posted is the real deal though. :)
 
gotcha, thats what I'm on too, seems to be the least buggy version. Hope you find an answer to your mms question

Thanks! Actually, my impatience got the best of me the first time, and I wiped data/cache/delvik without using Calkulin's format all. So, I went back a short while ago, and wiped everything with calkulin's, and reflashed the rom. I'm really hoping it goes well this time.
 
Hopefully that works for ya, I've been over at the MUIU forums getting some good info, I'm running mikfroyo at work right now, but switching back to miui when I get off, and then lots of playing around with MUIU tonight :)

No worries, I'm thinking of flashing the latest Miui and checking out the progress that has been made, i haven't seen Miui Rom since just after it was ported, shoot there were still things in Chinese :D
 
I think it was called dark knight, I can think of the guy that has it, its in his sig, but I cant remeber his username lol , V01rider maybe?

CM6 is pretty cool but CM7 is even better, definitely give that a dry run before tossing them into the bin.

Now, with that said, CM7 was my fav ROM, hands down, until I flashed this latest ROM by MIUI. After 2 months of flashing ROM's like a crackhead lights up his crackpipe, I'm done!!!

This latest version is off the hook, baby! :D

Even with no 4G, I dont care anymore, it was only available to me at work anyhow. The UI on this ROM absolutely blows away 99% of the ROM's I've flashed during all this time. The MIUI Devs hit this one out of the park!!!


The only possible things that could make this ROM even better are as follows:
- 4G of course, I'm sure it's coming too!
- For those who have tried CM7 will know what I'm talking about, when trying to choose a word to copy, normally, it's a real PITA but in CM7 it has a really large block like tab that makes cursor placement precise. I'd LOVE to see that carried over into this ROM.
- Long text messages seem to be a problem, will need to test again but if Im right, would love to see that bug worked out.


That's about it really, this thing ROCKS!

Cmon man, you cant just say something like that w/out giving some background info to troubleshoot the problems. This is actually one of the first ROM's Ive had with little trouble.
 
So here's a stupid question.... what happened to MIUI beta 5 or is this it. Sorry, I’m not one to try a different Rom everyday. I used MIUI a month ago and the lack of 4G made it difficult to use in the gym when you want to watch YouTube or listen to Pandora while on the treadmill. I also found it a big laggy at times and especially moving between home pages. The camera was very ugly and I'm using double twist for my music so I never took advantage of the excellent (looking) music player included with MIUI... what’s changed and why should I leave my warm two point rom?
