mms download problems

My Samsung Infuse 4G will not download/opn MMS messages

don't know what "rooting" is...I am just a basic human trying to get a picture from a client on my phone. Yes I am connected to wi-fi at home and yes I have the packet data enabled. just will NOT open...says "downloading" and when I click on the msg it gives me (useless) "msg details"

Are you using the stock messaging application (the one that came on the phone)? Or are you using a replacement app (like Handcent or GoSMS) ?

I get that from iPhones a lot. Have to ask them to send pics via whatsapp

I've gotten this multiple times on my G1 and Infuse across multiple ROMs and Android versions. I don't know if it's an Android problem or a carrier issue... maybe a corrupted picture file gets sent.

Idk cause it was working at first but now its not downloading any pics at all...

I have the same issue this is what i do, "its a pain"

ok you get a notification of a message, WAIT, bout a min, then you "should get another sound vib" that means message is complete.

sometimes i dunno why if you open the message before the pic is fully sent to you it hangs!

not saying this will work for you its just my experiance!

Turn off automatic download, and wi-fi. Then go to message and hit download button. Should work fine.
