[MMS Fix] AOSP Roms

Ok this is a fix for not being able to send or receive MMS messages on sprint ROMs. It takes about 2 mins on AOSP ROMs..


***some people have said it worked for them when they flashes this first... I've personally never had to flash this for it to work for me. But here it is in case that's the case. You can flash it first or try it without this which always works for me*** but this zip alone will not fix it. Do the rest!:)

Here is what you need to do if your on AOSP, AOKP, CM, PA



This will take you about 2 mins without even rebooting or going into recovery

1st open voice dialer and say open APN. Now skip to step 3!!!


Or download this app I use and continue to step 2 go download this from the market

2nd. Open app let it set itself up. Draw APN

Click on the apns setting

3rd. Now click the 3rd one that has internet at the end..

4th. Now scroll down and change your mmsc URL and MMS proxy to match mine.. Yours will say sprintpcs.com instead of myboostmobile.com

And your Proxy will end with 7 instead of 1.

5th. After changing those 2 things hit menu then save apns..


Now your MMS will work!!!!

This method will work on all sprint aosp roms

Knew that but because i personally use this search app I was helping someone and wrote a guide this way and screenshoted it. Then i Decided it was something that needed to be readily available with a search or Google search so I copy and pasted it and gave it a thread.. Lol there are many apps that can open APNs. People can use what they want or follow someones guide with pics
 
That doesn't work but it would be nice if it did. Found that months ago trust me that would be what's in this thread if it fixed the issue . Click on the link and read how it expects to fix the issue. Regardless it just doesn't work on jb aosp. May Have worked on the old cm9 roms but I wouldn't know bc ive never used cm9.
 
I've been using that fix on 4.1 / 4.2 AOSP ROMS and can successfully send pictures and other media. It's strange why it wouldn't work for you.

Yeah that is strange if it really works for you. . I've tried it several times

Would anyone else like to confirm whether or not it works? Go flash a sprint aosp rom. Confirm that your mms doesn't work than flash that zip and report your findings.
