Help MMS Issue- "Message not downloaded. Message not found."

Info: Rooted Incredible running 2.2 on VZW

I saw a similar issue posted under the HTC Eris section but I'm not reading any helpful info...

No matter what SMS program I use (stock or ChompSMS) or who I recv an MMS message from, the pic will display properly within my conversation with no problem. Shortly after the picture displays I get a notification saying "Message not downloaded. Message not found." My friend with an iPhone and my mom with a regular ol' LG slider phone both sent MMS's that give me the same result. Had the phone since November and it I think I remember having the same issue before I ever rooted it or anything special. I'm no super user or anything, yeah I rooted but only for some new ROMs. Been using the same one forever. Any takers?

Do you have a lot of MMS messages?

Some carriers require you to go to your account on their website to clear those out if you have a lot of them.

Not sure how that all works or if it applies here, but I've seen it posted often.
